"You can't use up creativity. The more you use the more you have."
I've had a number of creative jobs but patterns have been a love of mine ever since I was a girl and my Mum brought me a silk scarf painting kit - I covered it in pink, yellow and blue stars and called it my magician's scarf!
I studied Textile & Fashion at University and specialised in Print design - I love it and realised just how boring and bland everywhere would be if there wasn't pattern and colour to fill it!
I've started a small line of products that I hope offer mini moments in the day to remind women and girls of their beauty and worth.
I've lived full time in Kenya since 2018. It is the most beautiful country - rich in culture, nature and a source of constant inspiration. There is always an adventure to be had here! Who know's what the future holds but I have been so fortunate to call this country home for the last two years.
Come and visit - Karibu Kenya!
Florals make up a large part of my inspiration - while my designs might not be Miranda Priestly's cup of tea (Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking) I just can't get over them! The colours, the smells, the beautiful birds, bees and insects that come to them for food - there's a whole wonderful world to explore in them and I love getting lost in it.
I've tried my best to change my habits but put a milkshake, cupcake, cookie or candy floss in my eye line and I can't say no! I would pick a desert over a main course any day and have perfected my lemon drizzle cake and white chocolate cheesecake over the last few years - if sugar is also the way to your heart I'm sure we will be fast friends!
